Plan still on for hot roast beef sands w/that horseradish-we'll be smoking hot here.
It's just one form Wally World that is supposed to be used inside, lol. He likes really hot(not spicy) food. And this pan sizzles and gets food really hot. Of course we are going to end up scraping off the non stick surface because of the sauces and marinades sticking to it.

We ended up spending the entire day fishing yesterday---at several locations/lakes. We just caught and released. Kelsie, we have Catfish, Stripers, Blue Gill and Crappy swimming in our lakes around my house. I am sure there are some that I missed but that's what we have the most of. Had some nice fish too but I think they looked better swimming away then in a fry pan!
I made some spaghetti for dinner last night once we finally got home. I was so tired.
MWBW, I am so happy to hear you are on the mend--you take care now!
Skbs---that is the best news! I was so happy and relieved to hear the good news. It's difficult to know someone at our dinner table is having problems. You are always so upbeat it is nice to see you that way again. Loved all those smiley faces!
Lacey and elston--we love fresh horseradish in our house--you just can't beat it!! It is especially good on grilled fish! Yummy!!
Lisa, so I know you live in TN but are you somewhat close to Boone? We were looking to live in or near Boone when we first moved here to NC. We stopped at a little market there and this woman had on this T-shirt that said "eat cats--not chicken". I decided maybe we should look elsewhere with all my kitties! Ha! It is beautiful up in them thar mountains though!!
Kelsie--am so excited to be getting that package! Boy do I feel special!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day. No idea for dinner tonight but when I get it figured out I will post it!

No salad or condiments for one. His favorite is Steak of course, but I can get him to eat a "few" meatless dishes. I love Italian, but need some different and good recipes.

Last night my DH made his Sweet Italian sausage on the grill pan. He is loving this new pan and volunteers to cook every night. Why didn't I do this years ago? Tonight is clean out the fridge night. We have chicken and sausage so it will be a hodge podge.
Can you ask DH what it is about the grill pan he likes please? You might be onto something for a lot of women getting their DHs interested in cooking! Psst the secret is getting a cast iron griddle missy.

Here's the link I forgot to put in my reply yesterday for the ones that don't know what YLisa is talking about. //www.city-data.com/forum/food-...as-please.html

MusicFreak yes do give us a little more info we have some fantastic cooks on this thread. Some are pasta specialists even!

cyn my ex is a catch & release bass fisherman I asked him all the time why put the fish through it if he wasn't going to bring it home. Make their little mouths sore for the "sport of it". But he brought home the crappy, blue gill so that made up for the times he went out bass fishing.

He will eat mostly anything but Fish, Salads, and some condiments (mayo, mustard, et.) I on the other hand am not a big beef eater. I do eat it, but rather chicken or pasta, and some good burgers.

Good morning everybody! Friday morning is so much better than Monday morning.

We're going to have another barbecue party together, DH and I. Hamburgers and I'm going to try my hand at some grilled chicken drumsticks. I've never mastered bbq'd chicken parts yet so it's past time.

Going to throw some corn on the grill too, after brushing it with herbed olive oil.

Good Morning Foodies
Tonight we are minding the grandkids so I decided to make this casserole which looks fun for kids or anyone........This was originally posted in another thread from a poster called Laura707 who has some great recipe ideas.

CORNDOG CASSEROLE
Browned hot dog pieces mixed with celery, green onion, a corn bread batter and Cheddar
cheese for a taste of the county fair in a casserole!"
Ingredients:

2 cups thinly sliced celery
1 1/2 cups sliced green onions
1 cup whole kernal corn, drained
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 pounds hot dogs (beef and pork
frankfurters)
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
2 teaspoons ground sage
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (8.5 ounce) packages dry corn bread mix
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

1.In a medium skillet, saute celery and green onions in butter for 5 minutes. Place saute mixture in a large bowl; set aside.

2.Slice hot dogs lengthwise into quarters, then cut into thirds. In same skillet, saute hot dogs for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. I just slice mine like coins..

Add to celery/onion mixture and mix all together. Set aside 1 cup of mixture.

3. Add cornbread mix, egg, milk and 1/2 the cheese and mix it all together. Spread in a 3 quart baking dish sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle on the 1 cup you saved and the rest of the cheese.

4.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Cook until golden brown.
