I think if I can dig up a can of mushroom soup I'm cutting up the piece of london broil into it and calling it steak and mushroom soup. Slice a tomato on the side and some pickled beets and I'm good to go.

Some kind of baked chicken, I think. I bought some panko stuff that has seasoning in it. I may try that. Sides to be determined. I'm thinking maybe some kind of rice, steamed carrots and maybe another veggie.

After all the pizza craving yesterday, I decided we'd share a steak tonight! Have it already seasoned and will be good and ready for the grill at dinner time. Guess we'll have the usual potato and salad to go with it...and we can have a glass of sangria while everything's cooking!

So much fun chat already today! And Cyn, I agree that it's much more like home with Elston back at the table - though it's wonderful to know that you had such a great trip, Elston.

It's a cool, grey, drizzly day today, and the spouse is mumbling about home-made bread, which makes this starch-loving bookworm very happy indeed. Not sure what else will go with it, but with a big loaf of home-made bread as the focal point, the rest doesn't really matter much anyway. I'll stop back later with an update.

Deal! That would be a great accompaniment, and perfect for this cold June day. We'll set a couple more places at the table for you and Mr. L - 6:00 ok, or would you prefer a bit earlier?

Thanks for the warm welcome home.....it feels good to be here with you and all the foodies at cyn's table.

I am about to go lay down.....I have been pushing myself to get the yard done and gardens tended to......its a warm June day with bright sunshine here---and I planned to go all day.....but I am so tired I feel sick. My dear partner is in similar condition.....worse today than yesterday.

We ate a good breakfast and skipped lunch.....will have to see about supper after my nap.
