Today I just made my own version of crab cakes, but similar to that of a Pinoy Okoy!
I just used imitation crab meat, which I shredded, added chopped up green onions and cabbage, then added garlic salt, black ground pepper, Mayonnaise, egg and flour (tempura flour is better for crispiness and or Japanese bread crumbs called kasugay) and mixed it all up and then pan fried it like you would a potato pancake or a potato hash brown, but much thinner. Use what sauce you like! We used white vinegar with a clove of garlic, salt and pepper to taste! The kids and myself loved it, but of course I made it for our merienda (afternoon snack)!
