Has anyone cooked cake without egg?

Have you tried egg replacements? My friend's son is allergic to eggs and she was thrilled to find that these exist.

I do gluten-free vegan baking. For the liquid part of the batter, I use a mixture of mashed bananas, peanut butter, olive oil and flavored tea.

Check into what is called "Crazy Cake" it is a delicious chocolate cake that is moist and it actually has no egg put in it at all, and simple ingredients. It is almost the taste of brownie and a real hit around here. Also, the vanilla crazy cake is delicious also.
