Beef Tri-Tip, barbecued California style. (that's top sirloin for all of you who have never lived there.)
Cut up some potatoes, season them with salt, pepper, and garlic salt, put them in a deep pan, add olive oil and roast them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
Pull the Tri-Tip off the grill, serve with hot dog buns and add salsa on top for flavor, or get some good BBQ sauce and serve with the BBQ sauce on top, with said potatoes, and a roll (preferably of the sourdough or sweet variety) with a bit of butter and salt on op
Couldn't pass up the huge t-bones at Safway yesterday for $5.99/lb. Had a little extra jingle so go for it.
BBQ tonight...rare for me and m-rare for the Mrs. Baked etc. Fresh Aspergrass....
Just might have to have a frosty Margarita to get prep the body for its incoming dinner.

Without a doubt the tri-tip or triangle roast for you easterners. I get mine stripped from Costco. Before their popularity exploded you used to be able to get them from butchers for cheap as they would just grind them into hamburger. That was back in the 60's and 70's.
I'd rather have a mediocre cut of grass fed beef than a "good" cut of the stuff you find at the grocery store.
With that being said, I'm happy with anything that has nice yellow marbling...especially if it's a ribeye or t-bone.
