I love horses. Couldn`t see myself eating them. I knew this gal who had a few horses and she said that I`d be surprised in how many people don`t take care of them. A lot of people just want a horse to say that "they have a horse." I think if the BLM should just leave the wild horses alone.

I've never eaten bison, but I would. I rarely buy beef, and bison is just too pricey for my everyday budget.

Horses .... they're in the dog and cat category. My mom had a horse. Yes, it makes no sense--my sister had bunnies, and I asked in another thread how to prepare them. I don't think I could eat a horse. Well, I could if I were starving or had no choice, but I don't foresee ever going somewhere that Eat Horseflesh or DIE is a real possibility.

And then when they die of starvation because either their predator base is insufficient or because they've been moved into much, much smaller areas than in the past due to encroachment by humans.... then what?

I had horse when I was living in Japan- they serve it as sashimi. It was kind of gamey, very rich but then again, it was served raw.

It was one of those things where someone got it for me, told me it was a delicacy and I couldn't turn it down. When in Tokyo...

That brisket was really good I just ate. Now for a real question, do horses have a brisket? No I don't want to eat one but just wondering as it might be a solution for some. After photographing so many kids on their beloved horses it would be like me eating one of my pet cats.

Never ever eat horsemeat, it's un-American, unless it's a life or death situation.
