Two questions about Hud bids.

Is there way to see or find out if there have been any bids on a Hud property? I understand that the bids are sealed, but is there a way to know if there have been bids.

Second, I have question about when search results come up on the hudhomstore. The exclusive listing period for the property I'm interested in, ends tonight. Yesterday, the property recived a symbol of person with a money symbol. Hovering the mouse over that symbol, states something similar to that the agent that sells the property is now entitled to a $1,250 selling bonus. My question is, what prompts that status to come up? Is it because it is now nearing the end of the bidding period and there have been no bids? Another property that also has the exclusive listing period ending tonight, doesn't have that symbol for the $1,250 selling bonus. So does that property without the signing bonus, have bids on it so therefore they aren't offering that Bonus Status?

Hope I worded this correctly.

When the selling agent fills out the bid form you tell the agent what to put in the available fields. Each region has it's own incentives.

There is no way to know if there are other bids before you bid.

The system HUD used to use in my area allowed you to not only see if there were other past bids, but what the net to HUD would be on each of those offers. So you could see that they already rejected offers up to $90k, and to make your offer less than that would likely be a waste of time.

But as far as I can tell, the hudhomestore website does not have any way to view any information about bids other than your own. However, I believe if a bid has been accepted, the listing disappears from the website, so if it is still there, that should mean it doesn't have an offer yet.

I don't know anything about the incentives. I don't think anyone from my office has ever made an offer on a HUD listing that had an incentive offered.
