I'm curious as to how well Ft Collins can keep its residents busy and entertained? I know I'm a busy body and love variety so I was wondering how often you find yourselves going to Denver for activities such as sports, theater, concerts, events. Do you find enough opportunities for variety right in town?

We are in our early 50's, moved here last november. We don't seem to travel down there much more than once a month (of course that was before IKEA opened ) mostly running down there to pick people up at the airport who are visiting. it's amazing how many more relatives prefer to visit Denver than Detroit!

We go about once a month, if that (5-10 times a year). Usually to a Rockies baseball game or to go to the airport or to meet a friend who lives there for dinner. Sometimes we'll go to Elitch's or Water World once or twice in the summer. More often than not, we find ourselves going through Denver (on the way to the mountains on the I-70 corridor) than to Denver.

Once every 2-3 months for me. But I really hate the drive down I-25 so I'm sure that is part of it. I'd prefer to go to Boulder for something different.

More than once a month for me. Concerts (very few artists will stop in FoCo) and Airport were the most common destinations. Though my wife's family in Parker was a popular destination as well.

I agree that I drove "through" denver a lot to get to 70 and hit up the mountains for skiing and mountain biking.

The Fort can keep you busy for sure, but it is kind of far from DIA. If you're not that into music and don't travel too much, you can probably avoid Denver for months and months at a time.

I go a once or twice a month, but not for activities, usually for specialty shopping that I can't find in Fort Collins. But I shop locally MOST of the time.
