Yes. It shows the last two elections went Dem +5.

Larimer County, in which Fort Collins resides, breaks down at mostly unaffiliated, followed next by Republican and next by Democrat. It is probably best described as decidedly 'purple'. Let's say 70,000 unaffiliated to 60,000 Republican to 50,000 Democrat.

This is a few years old but you get the idea:

That's the bad thing about splitting things into only two extremes; the blue and the red. It doesn't show the middle, the purple, adequately. And that includes the data in the posted link on page 1 (post #4).

Overall, the town is fairly well broken into the three camps, though as many have said, slanted towards the left. I'd agree too with what was said earlier, that it will probably continue in that direction over time.

I've seen the town lose much of it's old-school thinking and American tradition (small midwest ag town feel) over the years. The native old-timers die off, and are replaced by the young and the restless from CA, WI, MN, etc. It's more related to the transplants, than the college. And with both, beer and weed is promoted as big business, so that's going to make a shift as well.

I'm a transplant from the Midwest area and I didn't know the history but I'm not surprised that this is what happened.
I'd say this place is left to very left.
