Hello. I dont live in Florida currently but I was checking out Ft. Lauderdale and miami last week when I was there for my own "field research" purposes.

In Ft. Lauderdale, the Las Olas neighborhood and the Riverwalk were noticeably gay. I am originally from NY and now live in Providence, RI so seeing gay couples isnt something that stands out necessarily so it was a noticeable gay feel in those areas. Mostly men in their late 40s to late 50s and it was very dog friendly as well. I would go there in a minute if it was more densely populated. The Riverwalk area has some REALLY nice condos and as I'm sure you already know, Ft. Lauderdale has one of the most depressed housing markets in the country so you might be able to find a bargain.

Sorry I didnt notice any particularly gay areas of Miami when I was there so have no input!

relo,

I'm curious why you're moving? I live in Tampa now as well, and I have been thinking of relocating to the SE coast of Florida.

Angel,

I used to live in NYC and I think Tampa is too quiet for me...also people here can be rude....I can't get adapted to this town. what about you?
