What about Davie? West Davie has a better school district than almost all of Coral Springs. It is not a bad area at all, it is definitely a step up from almost any part of Tamarac, and maybe even Coral Springs.

Generally anything south of Coral Springs
This is just silly. Not everything south of Coral Springs is bad.

Weston
Plantation
Davie
Cooper City
Sunrise (west only)
Pembroke Pines (west)

Are all lovely areas and south of Coral Springs and some of them are quite a bit nicer than Coral Springs. There are also some nice areas in Fort Lauderdale.

You wouldn't live here (Plantation):

11370 Nw 6th St Plantation FL - New Home for Sale - MLS #F1147029 - Realtor.com®

or here (Davie):

11980 Ashford Ln Fort Lauderdale FL - New Home for Sale - MLS #F1128539 - Realtor.com®

You clearly have not really been south of Coral Springs into the truly beautiful neighborhoods in Southern Broward.

The western subdivisions of both cities are nice. I do not care for them because they are very very congested.

To the person who initiated this thread, don't listen to this nonsense. Broward County is an extremely safe, diverse place, and you'll be comfortable in any community as long as you choose what makes sense for you (single family house, condo, apartment, etc).

As for the other poster who called certain communities "ghetto," give me a break. Not everyone wants to live in a gated community.

I don't agree with this at all. Broward County is "extremely safe"? I don't think so. Like most places, there are good areas and bad areas. The safest areas are the western suburbs. The more dangerous areas are the central suburbs and parts of eastern suburbs.

Broward, unfortuanetly I think has a lot of Pedifiles ...

If you have a family, I would move to Idaho ... Much safer and no Pedifiles.

Best of luck.
