Best to contact a good Realtor that can get you in a rental that is not a short sale or foreclosure. My sister lives in Chicago, just visited, and it is very expensive. How would you know the Craigslist add you looked at in Chicago is not a short sale where the owner is not paying the mortgage and just pocketing the rent, they rent below the market ? Expect to pay about $1/square foot here or more.
