Looking for High Rise Condo/Apartment/Loft in Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach (Hollywood: homes)

23 year old male professional relocating to the Fort Lauderdale/West Palm Beach area. I will be traveling out of state/country frequently so would prefer to be within a 30min drive to the airport.

Looking for a 1BR/Studio in a high rise building as close to the beach as possibe. What are some good building to look into?

What's your price range? Do you want to be 30 minutes to Ft Lauderdale airport or 30 minutes to West Palm airport? The two airports are about an hour drive from each other so halfway between them would be in the Delray Beach or Boca Raton area.

The only areas with clusters of highrises in Palm Beach County are downtown West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach/Singer Island, and to a lesser extent the Boca Raton area in Southern PBC. Downtown West Palm is close to the airport, but beach access is limited there because you have the island of Palm Beach which is all private beaches. North Palm Beach would probably be ideal for you, except that the demographic is older there.

Broward County might be the better option because it has abundances of high-rises all up and down the coast. Fort Lauderdale tends to be pricey. Pompano Beach and Hollywood might be good options. Downtown Ft. Lauderdale has a bunch of highrises, but they are really expensive. I don't know your income level, so cannot advise you.

A bit off topic, but...

All beaches in Florida are public, however, just from the water up to the high tide line. I had heard that there were private beaches in Florida so I asked a realtor friend of mine and that's what she told me. So technically, if you wanted you could stand right behind one of those massive mansions on the beach and there's nothing that can be done about it as long as you don't cross over the high tide line. Now, getting there might prove problematic unless you have a boat or like walking in the sand.

You are technically right. All FL beaches are public. I guess what I meant is that there are actual public beach parks with parking for them. Then there are areas that are just homes and mansions that have no real parking for the public. Also, there may be no way to get from the street to the beach without climbing over someone's fence.
