Try place called Vacation Village in Weston. Great area. It is large scale time share but most people do not realize you can also rent rooms even if not an owner. You can ask for specific Bldg. as they are scattered around the town. You might enjoy the newer bldg. near Weston Town Center as you can walk to anything there. You need to have car though as local trans. not good there.

They have 2 choices. Either A or B room. The larger room includes Jacuzzi tub. Will not get that at extended stay. Keep in mind it is run like a time share, no daily room service. Good as I never liked them having access to room every day. They have daily activities that you and kid might enjoy. Includes full kitchen much better than any hotel offers.

Good Luck!

Thank you very much for this info. I will check them out! And, you are right, I would of never thought of checking Time shares for possible rentals. I guess calling and finding out would be a good way to start.. Thanks again

All hotel options people cited here are definitely good, and very nicely located in areas that are amongst the safest in the County (especially West Pines and Weston). It's also worth checking on Hotwire and Priceline, I've used them loads of times and always had good experiences and excellent prices. You can probably choose a specific area within Broward (like SW Broward, the Coral Spring area, beachside neighborhoods, etc.) there too.

Also, take a look at the recently posted Neighborhood-O-Meter thread to look at the better off areas and the ones to avoid.
