I think they're investing in all kinds of energy-- they're big players in wind and solar.

Apparently, as you point out, they're also looking to get nuclear energy going again. Is it safer now? Maybe. I've heard it's 100% clean and it also doesn't rely on foreign dictators... maybe that's a whole other conversation.

Thing is that our oil addiction is the main thing killing our economy right now-- So anything that gets us away from that, I'm for. Even if it's a utility rate increase.

I don't know how true it is but ,SUPPOSEDLY FPL is the largest harvester of wind energy out of all of the power companies.

Also, look into pebble bed nuclear reactor, those are the new reactors which supposedly are impossible to melt down and safer/cleaner.
