That is true. They USED TO BE so polite. Now residents speed in the parking lot here by my condo. Unbelievable. They USED TO BE so polite. No more for the most part. And the traffic now in the winter is horrendous. Unnerving. Ridiculous. I feel my blood pressure going up when I'm driving. If I could get out of here to a smaller place, I'd go. But I can't go because of my circumstances right now. (Oh well...)

Now that's a thought...hmmm. Except I like to go places to get out of the house. :-) But the idea of missing the traffic might be something I'll think about.

Now that you mention it, we haven't lived in NYC (Brooklyn mainly) for a long time, but yes, it was wild. One time I was going too slow for a taxi behind me (I was going the speed limit) and he literally, yes literally gently (?) bumped me from behind to show me he wanted me to move along. Yes, wild. If I could get out of here and go to a county in Florida that was less "wild," I'd go. (But I can't right now.)

Not surprised. The population has swelled since more people moved down there. Left in the early 90's.
