Wondering what effect the brown water has on salt water fish.
Was out the other day with the grandkids and usually we get some action in the larger canals but no luck.Tried the miserable mile out to Sanibel bridge and still not much happening.

Your info says New Hampshire?

If you are visiting and you mean Sanibel island, Fl., I fish there quite a bit. When red tide and water released from Lake O comes through, I usually have good luck fishing from Blind Pass.

Brown water? Yep, nothing but catfish... try Blind Pass.

edit: Bring a light source....it's called Blind Pass for a reason

as hard as it is to believe I have heard fishing reports of fresh water fish such as bass and gar being caught in pine island sound. most salt water fish have moved out to saltier water. Last time this happened I had to go north to the gulf side of the barrier islands to catch anything.
