I am reading a ton here about people moving down here asking about jobs etc...and everyone saying dont come here without a job(which is great advice) and how this area has been hit hard by the economy.
My job has given me the opportunity to see pretty much the national economy and to be honest, every place has been hit pretty hard, so its not just SW Florida, obviously where-ever you are is bad, its not all the hot up here in Mass.
I personally am blessed to have a job that allows me to have live comfortably, and my fiance who is court reporter is still consistantly working.
Just some thoughts to anyone who is thinking of moving anywhere at this time:
1-Dont just pick up and move, plan ahead
2-study the area, job market, community etc.
3-apply for jobs well before you move and contact potential employers
4-SAVE SAVE SAVE before you move-moving costs $$$$$, you may think you only need X amount of dollars for first months rent, but think about moving costs too.

Just some thoughts from my random mind Please dont take any of this as a negative, and I welcome any difference of opinion or agreement, but for those thinking of moving here or moving away, just be prepared. The economy will turn around, and we can help individually by being smart about how we spend our hard earned dinero.
