Default meadow brook

I bought a house meadow brook in 1980 for 62,000 dollars and sold it 2003 for42,ooo.The whole area went to crap after all the apts. were built .I wouldnt buy anything in that side of fortworth the schools totally suck .Tear down all the apts. and it would again be a great area with beautiful houses with trees.

I'm guessing you mean Eastern Hills elementary? It's part of the vast Fort Worth ISD, not a system by itself.

The elementary is side by side with Eastern HIlls high school, though you cannot simply walk from one campus to the other due to barriers to prevent that from happening easily.

Eastern Hills elementary is not all that diverse, being predominantly attended by African Americans (79%) and Hispanics (15%), White (5%) and Asian/Pacific Islander (2%). Currently they have a 'recognized' rating at that school, which is better than the 'academically acceptable' rating by most all the other elementray schools nearby. (All taken from greatschools.net)

It can be a rough area, depending on what you consider rough. Years ago it was an area where kids were outside all the time and most walked to and from school. I don't know if that's still the case. I've known many kids who came up through that school of varying races, and none of them ever had any specific problem other than normal stuff. That's not to say there aren't problems as I am sure there are...just none that I know of personally.

I wouldn't recommend that area to anyone. My family lived there in the late 80s - early 90s. My little brother attended Eastern Hills high school. He did fine the first year, but then he got mixed up with "the wrong crowd". Our family went through hell just to get him through high school. We had to transport him to another school district after his junior year for summer school in order for him to graduate the following year. The year after graduation, when he was finally getting his priorities right, he was killed by a drunk driver. The school has, or at least had, a terrible reputation. I wouldn't send my dog there.
