We currently live in North Fort Worth and would like to know all the possible options for 3A schools within reasonable commuting distance. Any help?

McLean is a good school . Paschal also is a good school.
Depend on where you live they also they have something called a choice program where your kids get to learn engineering nursing those type things that would be good for your kids.
They start early age.

Trimble Tech is the highest academically ranked high school in the FWISD, maybe you should consider sending your kids there after they advance to high school, Trimble Tech has multiple courses such as
COURSE PATHWAYS:
Administration & Management
Animation Design
Architecture/Drafting
Audio/Visual & Film
Auto Collision Repair
Automotive Technology
Commercial Photography
Computer Programming
Construction Technology & Management
Cosmetology
Education & Training
Electrical Technology
Engineering
Fashion Design
Financial Management & Accounting
Graphic Design & Illustration
Piping & Plumbing Technology
Printing & Imaging Technology
Web Design

and there gold seal programs are

GOLD SEAL PROGRAMS:
Health Science Technology (HST)
Culinary Arts
Welding Fabrication & Metal Art
Retail Entrepreneurship

if you do decide to send your child to Trimble Tech when they reach H.S. keep in mind that Tech is the most competitive high school in the district when it comes to grades, the majority of the student body does not slack off like in other schools, so if you do send your child here make sure that they are prepared, and if they want to graduate in the top 10% make sure they enroll in Dual Credit and AP courses (If a student gets low grades in any of these classes, this can cause there GPA to fall drastically, but if they do good then their GPA raises dramatically) as long as your child maintains a GPA above 4.0 in Tech they should be good when applying to most Colleges but being in the top 10% of the class seems even more appealing. Trimble Tech also has transportation for all areas of Fort Worth, the school also has lots of diversity when it comes to ethnicity (The majority of the school body is made up of minorities, and Tech also has another school which it shares its building with (Success High School, and they have a student exchange program) Again if you live in the North side of Fort Worth (Depending on what you mean by "north" the school should provide transportation in that area) there should be bus stops where you can drop off your child. What ever you do, do not send your child to any other High School in Fort Worth unless it is Green B. Trimble Technical High School, or R. L. Paschal High School, trust me Fort Worth makes there high schools seem attractive but not all of them are! (personal experience) and for a middle school I cannot really help you there, much of FWISD's middle schools are decent, or below decent, so sorry
