Hey! I know this has probably been posted on this thread before.. but I was wondering if anyone who currently makes this commute daily could talk on the subject. Is waking up early and beating traffic a possability? I will be working long hours when I get to Dallas and thus I am not too worried about the drive back..

Some information on where I live. I am close to TRE stations on both ends. I live right next to downtown fw and thus the train station is not far. On the dallas side my work is a block away from Union Station.. Should I just take the TRE? Any help would be awesome! thanks !!

I would definitely take the TRE if both stations are that convenient for you, or at least try it. Parking can get expensive downtown if your employer doesn't cover it. The biggest downside to driving that commute is looking directly in the sun both ways. I hear about some wrecks on the radio envolving 30, but not as many as other highways, although wrecks on 30 seem to cause major delays when they happen in the AM. The times I've driven that route, I always seem to hit a little congestion in Arlington between 360 and Collins, regardless of the time of day, or whether there's a big game/event. I'd personally get tired of that commute, there are great neighborhoods close to Downtown Dallas as well, with better amenities IMO close by too.

Take the TRE, and buy the monthly pass. It will be a lot cheaper than driving and parking, and you can relax on the train!

Yes--that would be good option--
Just make sure you know when the last train leaves the Dallas station back to FTW
I think there is wi-if on the TRE now but not sure

Yes, there is wifi on the trains. It's kind of spotty, though.

My wife rides the TRE from Richland to the Parkland hospital stop everyday and wouldn't have it any other way. WIFI is free and she reads books and just relaxes. Plus, the miles and wear and tear on her car are immeasurable.
