One more vote for Dinosaur Valley State Park - especially if you have kids. They love looking at the Dino tracks. It was our kid's favorite camping spot.

Another vote for Dinosaur Valley State Park, good scenary, dinosaur footprints, and a great visitor's center. Try not to go soon after a good rain, it can cover up the dinosaur footprints. It is best to call ahead to check on the Paluxy River conditions. There are also nearby attractions, Fossil Rim, and I believe the nuclear plant (Commanche Peak) might be available for tours(?).
