My husband and I are looking to move to the Fort Worth area at the beginning of the year from Charlotte, NC. We would like to know where the best area/sub division to live in. Preferably a sub division that is newer, no more than 4 to 5 years old or a new build, Pricing around 140k – 200k; Low crime area; excellent schools for Middle and High School kids.
I will be working in Irving and looking for the shortest commute. Interested in a good area that also has good public transportation system. Must be in Forth Worth area, no Plano, Dallas.

I would look in the Keller Area or the Haslet Area both of these city have great schools and are newer area. There is a great community in Haslet that is called Sendera Ranch, it is only about 4 years old and still growing.

Keller will be a LONG commute to Irving with lots of traffic. But if you insist on a newer home, that might be about all that you can find. If you'd be willing to look at a slightly older homes, the Bedford and Euless areas have lots in your price range. There is a newer neighborhood in Bedford called Bandera at 121 and Cummings that would work in your price range.

The high schools in that area are in the HEB ISD; they are Bell and Trinity HS and both are excellent.
