I agree about the sponge, they are breeding grounds for bacteria, I do use one with the scouring pad on one side, when im done I always rinse it, microwave it and throw it in the laundry, I only use it if I've burnt the dinner, lol, I do use a microfiber dish cloth but its put in the laundry daily. I have a large tupperware that when I have an old tee shirt or other appropriate fabric I cut it up throw it in the tupperware and pour a solution of bleach/water over it and use that as I would when I need to disinfect sink or counters, than I throw it in the trash, works just as well as the expensive sto6re bought ones for a fraction of the cost.
