I am using the time to clean house and organize things thst went too long without organizing. I am enjoying eating at home more and making use of economizing by using every scrap of food in my refrigerator instead of eating out. Experimenting with making new food by recipe is also a challenge . Is anybody else feeling the same?

I don't know if "enjoy" is the word I'd use. I don't mind it.

I very much enjoy working from home. Saving lots on gas and no traffic to deal with!

I already enjoyed a simple life, but it's made things even more simple. No morning alarms. No packing lunches for the kids. No spending money.

Finally moving forward with interior paint projects (this month it's doors.. the worst!). Had to bring up our camping chairs because all four of us are spending time in the living room together for the first time since we've moved to this home. Crazy.

Yup same. It just itches me to try to pay off my mortgage as soon as I can to be financially free.

Social distancing is great for procrastinators, introverts, and the frugal minded.

Sounds like business as usual for a lot of folks.

Same here...I rarely left my apartment as it were before all this started,so this situation has been mostly enjoyable to me.
I'm reconnecting with a lot of my massive music collection;spending a lot of time and physical energy lifting crates of LP records, moving books and other audio/video media from shelves to shelves..actually having a heck of a good time. I guess I'm a curator by heart.
I've been going to the office once or twice a week at my boss's request, together with a few us
most trusted employees..and I've been paid til the end of the month...therefore the financial anxiety has been somewhat relieved for now.
What is truly bothering me is how many people are suffering because of this situation...just a few days ago it became national news when it showed huge lines of people down here in Miami
waiting to receive paper applications for unemployment insurance;because the Florida website is so inefficient that its constantly crashed and so many people have applied. BTW,Florida ranks 45th out of 50 states in the amount it pays....maximum $275/week. Hopefully the people that actually need it can get that extra $600 offered by the Feds.

We're home bodies, but this is even a little extreme for us. We have been cooking lots more. I've become suddenly pretty good at baking breads which always eluded me before. Hubby has been finding new recipes and cooking a lot of interesting and tasty things too. So that part has been great! We'll have a lot of new foods to cook/bake in our repertoire going forward.

It's also been great for our finances. Going no where, hubby working at home three days a week, and no shopping trips except for the rare grocery store stop every three weeks or so has really been helpful building up our savings. Also no vacations which is where I like to spend our money, traveling here or there, has also really saved us a bunch of cash. However I do not know what's in store for the future so I am just saving every dollar. Hubby could suddenly be laid off at anytime because no one really knows how long this staying at home thing will last, and his job could decide that they no longer need to pay the Network Specialist.

Another plus is that my normally busy teenager is home every day now. It's nice to spend extra time with my teens, watching movies together, playing board games, eat dinner as a family, they are all positives to this thing.
