No tomatoes yet although they are getting big and may turn soon. No zucchinis, either. Its the heat, they just don't bloom and set fruit when its this hot. No peppers, either. The butternut squash seem to be growing slowly but nowhere near ready to bloom.
My brother planted some jack be nimble mini pumpkins on a trellis and those are doing fine. We might have to try eating them....

1 cuke and 6 more tomatoes. actually our cuke plant or plants are growing all over the place, but few cukes. I don't know what to feed the bees to bring them back. I know watermellow rind, but we just don't eat watermellons, any other suggestions? If they come for watermelon why not peaches, berries, whatever?

I'll make a salad tonight with dinner and use a banana pepper or two, and some cherry tomatoes.

We are having tomatoes also and we love them, but I am not sure how many more Pat can eat. It is a daily rituaul: tomatoes for dinner and sometimes lunch or even breakfast...

My garden is tiny. I've only two crops--basil and mint. So today my garden fed me a handful of basil leaves for the turkey tamale pie I'm making. Hope they work, recipe called for cilantro, but I forgot to get any.

Sure thing, Kinky Toes--you can put your shoes under my table anytime. Love to share meals with pals! Bring a salad, maybe?

3 more tomatoes and I see a few new cukes coming. Probably next week we will get a couple of them. One of hubby's cliants gave us some cukes and about 5 tomatoes: we needed the tomatoes like a hole in the head, but we appreciate the kindness. We took them and I will send her a note, thanking her. She doesn't need to know we have them coming out of our ears.
