Yup - I agree (now that I know!) that it's likely a photinia. Will need to get someone out here to trim it - it's about 2.5 stories tall at the highest point! The neighbors have already butchered (w/ my sort of consent) the side facing their house, a couple years ago, but clearly its growth is undeterred, and it's now consuming my house.
As photinias go........it's not a bad looking specimen. But oh yeah, they get really big.
Perhaps you got lucky and it's not a red tipped, or Frasiers photinia? May be photinia floribunda?
