Wow, that is beautiful!!! Is that stone or wood? I can only imagine how long it took to create that - surely it is one of a kind!!!

First let me say, I'd love to have a bench like that! Very imaginative and original even though it might be more comfortable with cushions .
I don't quite get the "dirty" part, but if you look at the width, it looks as though the hands are wide enough to have a thumb and FIVE fingers on each hand

You're right! looks like a 6 fingered monster but if he made the hands only wide enough to have actually 4 fingers and 1 thumb and the butterfly the same size we might not see anything of the hands except the thumbs. In any event it is a beautiful work of art, even if not anatomically correct.
