The one in front of that building; the feathery-looking foliage always makes me think either eucalyptus or ash. Is it an ash?

Don't know, would need a closer look. Don't think we have those around here.

Eucalyptus and ash can look similar from a distance, due to the feathery, 'billowing cloud' look to the foliage.

May 11, 2016. Finally. 3 Sunny days in a row and temps reaching 70+ each day. But right back into the Fridge we go this weekend so I'm glad I waited an extra week this year

Day #4.

No more cart now. Just all the plants exposed to the elements for 5 hours today. Air, wind, temp, indirect sun.

Pine tree serves many nice purposes! I will give them 1 hour of direct sun today.

Looking good. 2 weeks they'll be in the ground. Usually by Mid May but I waited an extra week this year

Leggy Tomatoes on the far Top right. I will bury those deep. Not sure why they were the only stretched ones.

Eggplant and Bell Peppers. Looking amazing! Too Eggplants haven't done well in the ground. We'll see.

Hot Peppers.

Ah Ha. Evidence of flowering

Thanks! I should add, DID NOT FERTILIZE OR GIVE ANY FOOD.

Simply whatever the soil had. Probably not the best for optimal growth but it works fine. I will see how they are in the ground then decide whether to give them a little boost or not.

Day #5 of the harden off process.

6 hours of shade and now 1 hour only of direct sun, then inside they go. I don't want to stress them more even in the shade. They only been used to outside 5 days now. Leaves still weak.

With yet another cold blast coming, I'm glad they aren't in the ground yet. 50s during the day and maybe 30s at night coming Sunday and Monday.

Day #6 and there's no sun.

2 fronts coming through. Today and then the Big one tomorrow which will have March-April like temps 30s/40s/50s. Brrrr.

It drizzled on them and they look incredible! Peppers and Eggplants.

But I'm looking at the radar and see some moderate rains coming so I just brought them all inside. Why take a chance on the rain damaging the leaves OR flooding the cups?

Time to take a nap veggies, till tomorrow. Not using a light inside either.

The rains always perk my plants up. We have several rain barrels where we can save it
and use for watering them later on.
Sorry you can't get them in the ground yet Cam. Wow, up to 25 degrees below normal?
Maybe you'd better look at larger pots? JK, just hope you're able to get them in-ground soon enough.
