Hello,

Apologies - first time posting in here... recently looked at a tree in my yard and noticing these green plant like growths instead of leaves - which are dying and falling off rapidly.

Also seeing these nut like growths all over the branches.

Moss/Alagae on the bark as well.

This is a fairly young tree (about 4 years old)

Can you help me understand what I'm looking at and what I should do to try to cure/fix?

(Orlando, FL Area)

Thanks!

They look like galls. What kind of tree is it?

I agree, they look like galls to me too. Galls on trees

OP, there are few gall insects that will harm a tree to the point of endangering its overall health.

But just to be sure, ask if there are serious gall insects in your area at a garden center or at your local county extension. Most likely you can just ignore them.
