Sir.... I have already stated that I do not have the option of a lift gate. The only option available to me is to push the statue off said box truck which is about 4 feet off the grass. Fork lift driver will load statue onto said box truck, but I have no option of forklift at the destination it's going to. Again, my only option is to push it off into the grass and hope for the best. I merely opened this thread wondering if the statue would break if it hits the grass.
There's a cool video of some guys trying to roll concrete rings, like maybe for large fire pits or for storm drains off a truck. They bounced them off inner tubes and they broke in half. I think it was unloading fails or something.
A bunch of hay bales would provide inexpensive protection against breakage!
