From what I have been reading about fertilizing bermuda it is recommended to use 1 to 1.5 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 sf. I have been using the setting on the bags which is for 4 pounds per 1,000sf.

Am I over fertilizing my grass?

Companies wouldn't make a product to damage a lawn so go by what the bag says but if the bag you are buying isn't for Bermuda, then you might be doing it wrong.

Excellent product. Looking to use that this fall on my cool season turf type fescue grass starting in late August and going with generally a heavy application every 4 to 5 weeks.

I would simply follow the instructions on the bag and you can't go wrong.

I am tempted to put out my first round of fertilizer this week being there is three days of soaking rain coming. My soil temperature 5 day average is 64 degrees. I have not mowed it yet this year.
