.......or just pull it out of the ground after it rains. It's a weed, just yank it if you don't like it. Why resort to poison?

Nah. Not a mystery. It's a cress (land cress, hairy bittercress)
Common here.
If you're in the US, then it's land cress most likely.
Great to make salad!!! People are actually buying it at nurseries and cultivating to have nice, fresh salad during Winter and early Spring. Tastes great too.

Yes, pull it up. I don’t know what it’s called but it gets lots of fluffy white seeds in the fall that spread everywhere.

Plants with flat, wide leaves that connect to the exposed stem are called “broadleaf” plants/weeds. They differ from grasses in how plant hormones make them grow.

So, you can use a weed herbicide that specifically messes with broadleaf weeds even when those weeds are mixed in with grasses. Ask at you local farm and garden store what to use. Should be straightforward.

Roundup isn't going to kill your dormant bermuda.

We get those all the time and the best way to get rid of them is to pull them up by the roots before they bloom. I don't think it is dandelion, but I don't know the name of it.

There are a number of plants that can be mistaken for dandelion, especially earlier on in growth. Sow thistles, hawkweeds, groundsels, false dandelion, wild lettuce can look similar if the plant hasn't bolted or bloomed. The sunflower plant family Asteraceae is huge, not to mention diverse!
