I delivered a pizza to a woman who had a bush in her yard with small white (from what I remember) trumpet-like, very dainty, and pretty flowers. I remember they reminded me of little butterflies or fairies!!! It was very pretty and she couldn't remember what is was called but that she bought it at, like, Meijer or WalMart or something. Please help!!
I'm being haunted by it's beauty!!!!
I have to see it again
Contact your local extention service. They'll know plants that do well in your area and may be able to narrow it down for you. Height of the plant (overall size), leaf shape, size & texture, did the flowers have scent? The more info you give them, the better they'll help you.
Guara? It comes in white and pink. Though in MI, I would assume it's more annual than perennial. It's a native to TX and LA. So I could be wrong with my guess.
Well, what was it....was it a beauty bush (kolkwitzia amabilis)?
I love those "what is it?" posts for some reason.
Awesome! Thank you Finally the correct "diagnosis"
There had been a few guesses but none of them seemed right (and I know it's tough to tell just from photos!), but after googling the name you posted, I discovered you hit the nail on the head...
And my Beauty Bush must be truly mature - it has to be at least 15 ft tall. In full bloom it's absolutely...beautiful
If anyone on Long Island wants a small one, let me know - I have "babies"
