There is no such thing as a pure race. But certain ethnic groups are more homogenous than others.

Studies of genetic diversity in Africa have proven that there is more genetic diversity among two Bushmen that there is among a European and an Asian.

Vast genetic diversity found among Africans - SFGate (http://articles.sfgate.com/2010-02-18/news/17927011_1_bushmen-genetic-diversity-decoded - broken link)

I think some of the Scandinavian countries are pretty homogeneous. They say, this is why the people in Denmark, which is taxed to the max and provides cradle to grave social programs, can be so happy, because there is an inborn "group-think".

A heavily taxed society can only work if it is generally homogenous.

If it is a racially or socially diverse country with many cultures, and heavily tax. You can be sure there will be blame and violence.

There are lots of homogenous groups in different parts of the world. Purity is really a misused term when it comes to race. Smacks of eugenics.

I find the term "pure" abhorrent. There are far too many threads here worrying about racial make-up and etnicity. It's so not important.

Mankind is a race, but there individual ethnicities. There are evident differences as well. I think it is just debatable as to whether any of those differences relate to intelligence, morality, and psychology.

The diversity within any ethnic group is usually greater than the diversity between ethnic groups.

Your words, my thoughts. Genealogy is family history, not anthopology or politics.
