My wife and I had five family lines run through NG Genographics and four of the five ran close to the same movements, but there were a couple of surprises. My paternal line and her paternal line were almost identical. If they had been sent in at the same time I would have thought of the possibility of cross contamination, but they were sent in years apart. The other surprise was that one of the maternal lines went up into the Afghanistan area then turned back and ended in Algeria. In this line there were branches that went into Russia and all over Africa. Attached are the multiple lines drawn on a current map. I did not draw the "offshoots" because it would made the map too cluttered

Interesting coincidences for you and your wife! Did you take the initial Genographic test or the new Geno 2.0? Or both? I took the first one and am considering taking the new one.

We all took the first one and I too am considering the "2". I told Wife that means we are Cousins, and she was not amused.
