You were very close, I have 75% Amerindian blood in me, the rest is of Andalusian descend(Spaniards) there are very few Full Natives in Nicaragua where I am from, but I used to live in Utah since I was 14 years old(till I was 26) and I me a few Utes, all of them thought I was one of them and talked to me in their own language, if you ever seen a native Ute you’ll know I don’t look much different from them,
When I see these threads, I can't resist trying to guess ethnicity or the mix. Thanks for being one of the few stopping back.
Although we don't allow "guess my ethnicity" threads this one was different. (I was watching.)
This person DID come back and this person did know their ancestry, not just their ethnicity, which is not genetic.
Anyone who wants to do this for fun is welcome to play. You must come back and let the others know and you must know your ancestry and be interested in genealogy. Thanks.
And do you have an ethnic identity of belonging to a specific culture in Nicaragua or do you feel like a mainstream Nicaraguan? What do you know about your grandparents' origins?

Most Nicaraguans are Mestizos that have lost their pre-Columbian roots, being more Native than most people have not been positive as unlike the USA where people take pride of being 1/16 Cherokee(and can actually enroll if they provide proof of such claim) here even mestizos don’t claim to be Natives or Indios.. when some one call you Indio its because they want to hurt you,
Most of my Fathers side are genetically pure indios but have lost their roots and on my mothes side my grand father was Castizo, and his father was a second generation andalusian living in Nicaragua,

Thanks. So you are pretty typical… and the face paint is just fooling around.
Yes, I have lived in Latin America and know how "indio" is a pejorative term. I wondered if perhaps you identified as chibcha, maya, or some other group (not miskito).
So is your paternal haplogroup Q1a3a1 or something else?
it still means the vast majority of your genetic make-up is Native American
you look almost pure blooded to me. But I would have said you weren't pure blooded but close to it.
