Don't fret the genealogy aspect of your DNA results. This part of the analysis is pattern recognition by a technician. The Doctors TV show submitted DNA from identical triplets and the ancestry reports were all different.
Look up Scots-Irish to better understand the ethnic makeup:
"Most of these emigres from Ireland had been recent settlers,
or the descendants of settlers, from the Kingdom of England
or the Kingdom of Scotland who had gone to Ireland to seek
economic opportunities and freedom from the control of
the episcopal Church of England"

"No Irish need apply"

Quick question for you.

How does your maternal line identify? I think that they are likely South Americans and your culture and habits have followed such.

Great Britain is a large island between Ireland and continental Europe.
There are 3 countries with different languages and cultures on the island of Great Britain. They are:

1. England to the south and east-ish,
2. Wales to the west-ish, and
3. Scotland to the north-ish.

These 3 countries on that 1 great island of Britannia are part of a political union called the United Kingdom that
includes territories around the world on other islands and continents, as well as those listed above.

I know my Geography as well as my history. I also know that if you tell a Scotsman he is English or British that doesn't go over very well. Having been raised to be proud of my Scottish heritage those could be consoder d fighting words!
