I'm looking for information about my great grandfather. He came to America in 1913 and lived first in New York. Then he moved to New Salem. He is buried at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Salem.
His name is Eugene (George) Martinewsky.Maybe someone knows about him or his loved ones, and also about Anna Malanik? Thank you.

Yes thank you. I found this information in open sources. I did not know that Anna Malanik was a niece. But then it's a stupid thing. No information about the family. Wife, children and their descendants.

Have you seen his arrival manifest from 1913? It states he left behind his wife.
Did his wife ever come to the U.S.?

You can see the manifest by searching at www.familysearch.org and typing his name with this spelling:

Eugeni Martinenvshy

His 1913 manifest also states that he has been in the U.S. before, from 1906 to 1913.

Since the manifest is from November 1913, than he couldn't have been out of the U.S. for more than a few months.

In 1913 he is going to a friend in Amagansett, New York. That is in Suffolk County on Long Island.

Not sure if this would be helpful to the OP. There is a mention of Eugene's Malaniak's son, Jason Lee Malaniak, in a newspaper avout him turning 2 years old in November 1964.

That sounds too late. Have the WWI records been searched and you have a copy of his death certificate? Who filled out that death certificate? Usually it's a family member. On it will also have his address so you can consult the census records.
