Cool, a lake!!!!!!!

At least it's warming up for us, you won't freeze to death moving things.

Today I listed more stuff on ebay to pare down.

With warm temps coming and spring fever kicking in I am getting anxious wanting to go into the attic and pull stuff down for selling.

Finished moving all items into the new house today. Trucker dude came by 8:35 AM, and the entire moving process took till 5:50 PM. We then ate dinner at 7:10 PM and right now, I am relaxing in my new indoor hot tub listening to this. Nothing beats Superstar Rajinikanth's Music

Ccc, the new house is large, cozy, and overall provides a fantastic spacious homely feel. The best part is that we also have frequent Bus services to NYC and Philly within walking distance . Buses to NYC PA terminal take 1 hour and Philly market street takes 1.5 hours.

Getting ready to stage the house. Target date for putting it on the market is March 1. Purged 2 bags of garbage and 1 full tub of recycling from the child's room, plus a tub full for the yard sale - mostly old games and toys she's outgrown. Put up 3 boxes of stuff she wants to keep but doesn't need right now, plus 4 plastic storage bins. Worked all day until 5 last night getting that done. Today I will be really cleaning her room and getting it set up for how it'll look for showing.

Really Ccc . That's quite shocking, considering the fact you lived in Fairfield county CT at one point of time. I used to live in Nassau county as a child, so NYC was like a monthly visit for us. I also visit Albany, Boston, and Philly fairly often. I have never been to Albany in the winter though. Dad has, but only by bus. He never wants to risk winter driving in upstate NY.

Eek, why would anyone want to visit Albany?

Dh hates cities so that's why we never went to Philly. We did follow the IMSA racing circuit in the Northeast in 1988-89 and did see a street race in Columbus, OH. That was really cool. They had to weld down the manhole covers because the cars were so fast they were sucking them up out of the ground

No - we're storing the stuff in tubs in the garage. I figure once the temps come up, I'll have a couple of sales and anything that doesn't move gets donated. Then the tubs are free for final packing.

Dad is having some trouble selling our house, but we figure somebody will come. Our main plan is to rent it out first, because selling it will incur a financial loss for our family. We will sell it when prices go up due to the new Amtrak station is ready which will have daily trains to Boston & DC Via the NEC, Harrisburg Via Keystone Corridor, and Albany (Rensselaer) via Empire corridor. So, rent seems to be a wise option for now after discussion between me, dad, and the real estate agent.

Phew. Done for today. Got that room almost finished/show ready. I had to repaint where we took some shelves down, move several pieces of furniture and clean clean clean! Kids are so messy.

Now that room is no longer a playroom but a nice sitting room, complete with couch, chairs and wall mounted tv.

Up next will be a huge project - swapping around beds from bedrooms. When hubby leaves he's taking our big king bed with him, so I'm moving the nice bed from the spare bedroom into our room. That means night stands and dressers move too. It'll give us the opportunity to look at everything in our dressers and purge purge purge!
