Sort of. I've had to put one in a tow truck (a big back loader) and one in a U-haul, but just a basic truck. (When I say truck, I mean truck, not van). The infant seats just went in front and faced backward; the toddler seats faced foreward. All I can say is that it was the "best day" of my kindergartener's life to be able to ride in the front seat.

I belong to an antique fire apparatus club and one of our members has a 1965 Mack fire truck. His young son rides in a car seat, facing forward, on the passenger's seat, just fine. The passenger seat in this truck is actually wide enough for two people to sit on. Best of luck!

As long as there are no airbags (or they can be deactivated), a booster should be fine on the bench seat, preferably in the middle position.

I am a certified child safety seat installer. Believe it or not, it was an intense one week class to become one.
Call your local Police Dept and ask where a Certified checkpoint is and make an appointment with them. They will check to see if it is compliant and installed correctly.
There is no charge for this.....better safe then sorry!
