Some of the private landlords will work with you if you can pay cash for 6 months rent...Haggle nicely and see what kind of deals you can make. Leave things good at home and keep enough money to get back...

Some of the craigslist rentals are okay and some are scams so be careful. Sometimes someone can even show you the inside of a place and they are scammers. They don't even own it. Lots goes on...The smaller apartment complex tend to be cheaper & these are not easy to scam people with.

You know. It is really hard to even get a job without having a place rented locally and ability to start a job within a week or two...Only the people with 3-5 years of experience get hired when they live out of town. Entry level people are always local or couch crashing + using the address.
