I have been following data on this forum for a while and it seems like all the research I have done, I have come up with very expensive places to move to.......I guess because they are favorites of everyone else too ha? There has got to be one of my favs that is in my price range.
Geesh, I am alone and have to retire alone on minimal wages, where am I supposed to go? I don't want to freeze to death, nor melt like chocolate......hhhmmm

Besides not very cold and not very hot, what characteristics do you want in a place?
If you can give us some specifics, such as a list of MUST HAVEs and ABSOLUTELY NOTs, maybe we can offer you ideas.

The weather issues are so different for many people and places. Here we get a couple of months of what we consider hot at 90 to 100 degrees and then a couple of months in the winter where the temps can drop to below zero. In between these times the weather is wonderful for us. So we live with the not so good for short times to be able to enjoy the wonderful most of the time. I LOVE the winter and snow. Lets me not feel guilty sitting inside creating my mosaics and sewing relaxing and just having fun. Summer time I feel I need/want to be out in the yard making it pretty.

Also expensive is relative to each person. There is a darling small house 2 & 1 ,garage carport and out buildings, next to us for sale for about 110K on almost half an acre. For some that would be really expensive for some not so much. There is a new triple wide on an acre with out buildings for 165K. So from one end to the other of expensive. This town does not really have much for employment. Mostly ranching/farming. A few small businesses. I think most of the people here are retired.
