My fiance and I are moving to Florida in exactly one year, being one to research excessively, I'm starting early. Specifically we're looking for a home ON a pretty beach. We're looking for a place with a low crime rate, reasonable cost of living, decent schools, and the lowest possible record on damages from weather. With that said, we were told most of the storms that are real bad sweep up through the gulf, so we're looking more on the west side. I don't want to live in a trashy run down town, but I also don't want want to pay an arm, leg and my first born to be in a nice house. Also, he is in the roofing business so somewhere he'd be able to get back into the sales of roofing. I hope I'm not looking for a place that is not existant!
