We'll be driving straight through from essentially the bay area to Portland (easier to just get it over with in one shot, traveling with four pets). Are there websites where I can input my route and it would show me rest stops and other clean places to stop every couple of hours? Thanks for any advice.
I have driven that route many times. If you stay on I-5 there are regular rest stops about every hour. You don't need a map. Err on the side of caution and stop at each one. Names of restuarants and other facilities are on signs just before the off ramps.
OregonTripcheck is really great..Shows via camera's the highway..
There is a new casino Rolling Hills between Willows and Corning that has a gas station , lawn to walk dogs on and good buffett..I've drive from salem to napa with our cocker had no problems..

Just thought of something the Weed Airport rest stop is another good one to walk dogs and the rest stop at Valley of the Rogue state park..You can really get out and walk ..We have stopped at most of them over the years and no real problems...
