The thing about that is, what's 'your city'? If you live in say, Long Beach, would your city be Long Beach, or Los Angeles? There was one of these the other day about cities all being consolidated with their counties. Obviously, Long Beach would not be consolidated with LA County, so it's all pretty silly.

Long Beach would actually be bigger by 800,000 at 18.5 Million, but i'm not talking consolidation, i'm saying 100 miles, a small driving distance.

Lexington, KY and Huntsville, AL are the real shockers to me. Bigger than Seattle? Than Phoenix??
Mr Port City, can you do Portland? (the one in OR and the one in ME too if you have the time) thanks

No, I know you not talking consolidation, that was another thread I was talking about, but even if Long Beach is bigger, you can't place that Long Beach at number 2 surely? Actually, it's kind of irrelevant that you pick an actual city.

Really this should just be about which point in the US has the largest population in a 100 mile range. Obviously you can probably only do it to municipal level, maybe neighbourhood in some instances, but I'm just saying you have New York at number one, and that's taken from I assume the geographic centre, but maybe if you moved the mid point a bit you might have a higher 100 mile population??

I dunno, I'm not in a position to any calculations here at work, but it was just a thought.

There is a good possibility somewhere in NJ could technically be above NYC. I am also not willing to do any calculations though.
