I doubt very much that I would be able to find Brazilian products in Baton Rouge and Jackson, especially since those cities are not a magnet for Brazilian immigrants like Orlando, Miami, Boston, or New York City is.
I can guarantee you that you can. It shocked me too, but they were there. A 2 liter of Guarana was actually cheaper in a Mississippi Kroger supermarket than the 6-pack that I can get in a Brazilian grocery store in New Orleans.

I agree with this. It feels like a mid-sized city with a lot of big city options due to Disney. Of course what I consider mid-sized may not be the same as you.
According to me it really Depends on the city and what the city looks like. For example...Las Vegas is under 2mil and It still seems like one of the USA's largest cities,IMO. But cities like Orlando seem much smaller, IMO. It really depends.

Yes you can. You don't need to leave Baton Rouge for anything other than a Lamborghini. And it's getting better each year.

Las Vegas feels very much mid-sized to me. It only looks big in pictures. It's a clever deception, I guess.
Philadelphia is pretty much like a big suburban city of 1.5 million(comparing to NY and Boston) with alot of rundown areas. Downtown is small to medium size with some improvements over the last 12 years.

I agree, off the strip, a few blocks in either direction and the change is dramatic.
