Largest stadiums are in the south and midwest, then the west coast. By and large, the NE doesn't care about CFB

That doesn't make me, living in WI, like a southerner. Sorry, but you're painting with a really broad brush.

More apt to be conservative, more likely to like to hunt.

I don't know anyone who hunts, and conservative....have you ever heard of the history of politics in Madison and Milwaukee? Didn't think so. Stereotyping is for people who don't know the facts. Painting with a broad brush, is stereotyping. Everyone in California hasn't had plastic surgery, breast implants, and bleached hair. Everyone in the Northeast doesn't have an Ivy League education. Everyone in the Midwest doesn't hunt, or go to football games.

There are a ton of people in the Northeast who are like that. New York is a deep blue state however there are wide swaths of rural areas where hunting and being right leaning are common.

There are thousands and thousands of people across the Midwest who hunt, and Wisconsin is definitely up there as one of the states with the largest number of hunters (at least from a deer-hunting perspective). Most of my family across Illinois, Wisconsin, and stretching into Minnesota hunt in some form...

Now, that doesn't mean that makes them conservative, and it certainly doesn't make them Southern.

I haven't read all the posts on here. But I voted Southerners. Disclaimer: these are all generic broad images and I know individuals of all kinds live in all places.

Midwesterners and Southerners are more laid back and not as upfront/in your face as Northeasterners. Midwest nice is a thing the same way Southern hospitality is a thing. Both are things, but both are abused as a way to be passive aggressive also.

Both are more into the classic "American" culture. Large suburban housing, disinterest in public transit, lackluster urban centers, American car ownership, pickup trucks, more rural landscapes. The Northeast loves its suburbs too, but suburban housing is not as popular, urban centers shine in the Northeast, the Northeast is the best region for public transit, you don't see large pickups and only American cars all over. Northeasterners are more apt to fly or take a train somewhere for vacation, whereas Midwesterners and Southerners seem to enjoy their road trips more.

Politically, the Midwest and South are more conservative, though there is a clear reshuffling of politics occurring in the US right now. I.e. Ohio is trending redder and less swing whereas VA is solid blue, NC is swing, and GA may be approaching swing.

The food and dining of the Midwest and South are more similar IMO. It's more common to find a family dinner consisting of classic American foods like fried chicken and unhealthy sides and ranch dressing on salads in the Midwest and South. Family dinners in the Northeast are going to usually have less "American"-influenced foods and more healthier options and in the major metros of the Northeast you'll likely find some authentic Italian and/or Jewish dishes.

Please understand these are just generalizations. These are not true for everyone and every city. I.e. Cleveland and Chicago are Midwest, but you'll find people enjoying the urban lifestyles, public transit, and ethnic diversities and cuisines. Like the Northeast, you'd readily find Italian and Jewish dishes at dinners across both cities. Politically, MI WI are swinging right now, but post-Trump era they'll likely become more politically similar to the Northeast. States like MN and IL are pretty solidly blue overall like the Northeast. Minneapolis and Chicago residents enjoy their liberal politics, urban built form, public transit, etc. I know in Chicago, pickup trucks aren't common and foreign cars are everywhere.

Overall, I just find the Northeast to be more urban, liberal, ethnically diverse, etc. than either the Midwest or South. I don't mean to offend anyone with what I said.

It's hard to compare entire states, let alone entire regions. However, when discussing a thread like this, the answer must lie in what the generic individual/group of people from that location would likely reflect. The generic New Yorker is not a rural white conservative hunter. The generic New Yorker is from the NYC Metro. NY State has 19,542,209 people. Outside of LI, NYC, and Westchester, there are only 7,336,413 people. Excluding people living in Rockland, Orange, and Putnam counties, only 6,525,609 people are left. Excluding the counties of Albany, Schenectady, Onondaga (Syracuse), Monroe (Rochester), and Erie (Buffalo), only 3,926,170 people remain. That's only a fraction of the entire state of NY. Therefore, it's not that likely for someone to be a hunter or right leaning if they live in NY State.

I know this applies to most states. Half of GA lives in Atlanta for example. But it's hard to say that a typical New Yorker likes hunting is right leaning. It's likely more common for a random person in GA to be a hunter and right leaning.

Interesting that you know so much. Generalizations, though, as you said. I'll bet you didn't know, that Milwaukee is the ONLY city in the US of A, that has had 3 Socialist mayors? Not that that's a good thing...Socialism scares the hell out of me. Just saying, you know less, than you know more.
