New York is great, but where can't you find all of these things nowadays?
You can't find the places that you can in NYC in any other city. NYC is home to the funkiest clubs, restaurants, bars, shops, and even grocery stores. And if you find some, the quantity and quality could never match up with NYC. I actually found a list of the best cities for nightlife. NYC tops it.

I admit, I do love New York (not impressed with clubs), but I think it has more to do with what a person prefers, because when it comes to nightlife I'm mostly fond of the Houston/Dallas/Atlanta/Miami type of lifestyle.
(And don't be so sure about the grocery stores, because after all, Houston and New York are the only cities I know of so far to have grocery stores for specific Middle Eastern countries)

I agree, having lived in both locations I like the Clubs in the Miami area better, its differant so I guess its a matter of taste.
I'd say New York. It is 'the city that never sleeps' after all. Then Miami. Havent been to Vegas, though I would imagine they'd have pretty good nightlife too.
NYC's nightlife sucks ass. Been there, done that, and I don't think paying an arm and a leg to stand in some dump that's been converted into a "club" for DJs that consider themselves too famous to play for people who consider themselves too cool to do anything other than wait for E! or some society gossip rag to cover them makes for a good club. "Like, oh my god, it's Ryan Seacrest, I'm so cool, it's NYC, is that ecstasy?" **** off.
I voted Chicago. The true competition for good nightlife in this nation is between Chicago and Miami.
