You may be from a place that many people consider to be ugly or lacking in natural beauty, or you may be from a city that is largely viewed as one of the most gorgeous places in the world (not me, lol). I see beauty in all of nature and I'm interested in seeing your town's.

Default Metro Scranton, PA

Here are some natural images from my area, which is located in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains, about two hours northwest of both New York City and Philadelphia.

The Susquehanna River as it passes by Towanda, PA.

The Valentine's Day Blizzard 2007 in my suburban subdivision in Pittston, PA.

Nay Aug Park, just outside of Downtown Scranton in the "Upper Hill" neighborhood.

The Lackawanna River as it flows past Old Forge, PA.

A scene from Mountain Top, PA, a rapidly-growing suburban area between Wilkes-Barre, PA and Hazleton, PA.

Some scenes from the Back Mountain, another rapidly-growing suburban area to the northwest of Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Some scenes from along U.S. Route 6 near Carbondale, PA.

Some scenes from just outside of Tunkhannock, PA.

Jim Thorpe, PA

These are just a sampling of the photos I have of our region's natural treasures, but I won't post any others to prevent people from squawking at me as has been done in the past.

Those were real good pictures, Scranton. I've always loved the look of dark, leafless trees on white backdrop of snow. Too bad that look is very rare down here.
